Newly Committed International Students

Congratulations on committing to Pitzer college! Before arriving to Pitzer, please be aware of the following tasks:

  • Get your student visa. You will receive an email from the International Programs office with information about applying for your student visa, along with your initial I-20 document. Additional information on the F-1 student visa application process can be found at this webpage.
  • Complete all required forms and documents. You will receive an email from our admissions team with details and instructions regarding all required forms and documents that must be submitted on your admissions portal prior to your arrival.
  • Transfer your SEVIS record. If you are currently attending a high school or higher education institution within the United States, you must have your SEVIS record transferred to Pitzer before you can begin full-time studies. Please contact a Designated School Official (DSO) at your current school for more information about this process.
  • Arrive on campus on your scheduled arrival date. All new international students must attend International Student Orientation, which takes place before general New Student Orientation. Participation is mandatory. Information on when you should arrive on campus will be communicated to you by the International Programs Office.
